Plan the shoot.
Keep the details together.

CreatorCalc: Shoot Planner is an offline reference-calculation and project-planning app for iPhone and iPad. The app appears as CreatorCalc on your device.

Plan video, photography and audio work, organize shot lists and equipment notes, and save calculations with their inputs and formulas. No registration or app login is required.

Getting started

  1. Open Projects and create or select a project. Each project keeps its own settings, shot list, equipment, profiles and saved calculations. You can also use the unfiled workspace.
  2. Open Video, Photo or Audio. Check each unit and enter values from your equipment specifications or measurements.
  3. Tap Calculate. Review the result, the calculation details and any assumptions or warnings.
  4. Tap Save calculation to keep the current inputs, result and formula. Recalculate after changing an input.
  5. Use Export for the current project's PDF, CSV or JSON, or choose Entire workspace · JSON backup to back up every project.

What you can plan

CreatorCalc does not record, edit, encode or convert media, synchronize timecode, or control cameras or recorders. Audio format names describe storage estimates.

Local data, exports and recovery

Calculations work offline. Projects are stored on your device, and the app has no developer-operated cloud synchronization. You choose where exported files go. If you select a cloud or sharing provider in the system interface, that provider handles the file.

JSON import shows a preview and asks for confirmation before replacing the whole workspace. A local recovery copy is created before replacement. Find available copies in Projects → Manage projects → Recovery copies.

Keep a separate entire-workspace JSON backup before deleting important work or uninstalling the app. Local recovery copies are inside the app's storage and may be lost with the app. They are not a substitute for a separate backup.

Languages and requirements

Requires iOS or iPadOS 16 or later. English and Simplified Chinese are included; use the globe button to switch languages. The same offline feature set is provided in supported storefronts. CSV/JSON schema keys and machine-readable values remain in English.

Purchase and updates

The App Store purchase is a one-time payment for all offline features in the current major version. No subscription or in-app feature unlock is required. Your purchase includes bug fixes and compatibility updates for the current major version.

The local price and applicable charges are displayed by the App Store before purchase. If a future major version is sold separately, its price and scope will be explained before purchase. Your purchased version will not require a subscription, and the app will not be silently relisted to bypass this one-time purchase policy.

Using estimates responsibly

Results are reference estimates and starting points. Check formulas, units and assumptions, then verify manufacturer specifications, local production requirements and actual shooting conditions. A unit or sensor preset does not certify compatibility, regulatory compliance, safety or suitability for every location.
